Golf Practice Sessions

"Would you like to check out what Tiger Woods does so well? Have you handled an Ice/field hockey stick or a Cricket bat? Now is your chance to handle a golf club and give it a go!  Join our practice sessions at the Joshua Golf Range located on Burnhamthorpe/Ninth Line starting Wednesday May 14, 2014 and every Wednesdays 7 – 8pm. Bro. Luis and others will be available to show you some fundamentals of the Golf swing. Golf clubs and golf balls will be available...all that is required is for you to show up. Brothers with sons in the Squires and their Councillors are all welcomed! It would  be awesome to have a Squires four-some playing in our Golf Tournament." All queries please contact Bro. Valens chair for the Golf Tournament 905 507 8773

The St. Vincent de Paul Society held its bi-annual bundle-up event at the St. Francis Xavier parish on May 10/11 which coincided with Mother's Day.
St. Francis Xavier Council brother knights provided assistance during the weekend masses to collect the items donated by the parishioners and place them in the truck. The council also provided coffee and donuts to the helpers.

Two Kids for a Change, a Mississauga based charity run by the young Sequeira brothers were given a donation of $250 by our Council 12067. The charity was set-up a few years ago to provide assistance to underprivileged families.

The Francis Xavier Council 12067 made a donation of a $1,000 to two deserving seminarians selected by the St. Augustine's Seminary, Toronto. Our council has been supporting the seminarians for over a decade. The two seminarians are seen in the photo with Edwin D'Cruz, Grand Knight and Fr. Peter Marr, Vice Rector.
